Michael Ripper BSc(Hons) MSc MRICS
Michael specialises in the effective and appropriate change of property and facilities. As well as a broad practical experience Michael is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor who has also gained an MSc in Project Management from Reading University. He was a member of the RICS FM Executive that developed the “White Book”.
Michael’s consultancy career has included significant property and facilities projects for many public and private sector clients including BBC, Essex County Council, Thames Valley Police, Fidelity, First Group, Omnicom, Siemens, and Unilever

Mike Mahon
For 16 years Mick was Executive Director & Head of Corporate Services for EMEA at MUFG is the largest Japanese bank and one of the top five global banks. His role included management of large, multi-disciplined, international & culturally diverse teams covering both Real Estate and Procurement. He successfully delivered complex business change projects, including acquisition & disposal of business operations.
Projects Mick managed at MUFG included:

Relocation of 2,000 London HQ staff to a new 18,000 sqm City office. Project value of £40m completed on time & budget

Reduced EMEA property costs by 30% during a period of significant business & head count growth

Acquired and set up new offices & data centres in Istanbul, Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Amsterdam, Paris, Moscow, St Petersburg

Centralised EMEA wide Procurement operations & leveraging buying power

Implemented a pan European insurance program saving £3m pa & enhancing cover

Ian Elliott
Ian trained and qualified as an auditor. He has spent most of his career in senior management in industry and consultancy. For the past seventeen years he has specialised in facilities management, concentrating on change management assignments. His role is typically to engage the team, define the Vision, develop the change plan and drive the team towards the Vision using the strategies agreed.
Ian's experience has included Head of Estates for the DTI, MD of major FM supplier, consultancy experieince for BBC, Centrica, NSN, and Sun Microsystems
Patrick O'Connell OBE, MCIPS, CIWFM
Patrick has had extensive experience in the public sector, in particular, with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Estates department.
Latterly Patrick has managed a client’s Capital Work Programme and worked with a leading LLP on a large PFI contractual dispute.
As Head of Estates for DWP his role included:

strategically managing the DWP’s contract for Estate services through a single contractor under the PRIME PFI contract.

Corporate and Operations estate change management - ensuring that day-to- day issues and larger business projects have the right estate infrastructure to meet their needs at reduced cost where possible;

Estates strategy including;

Reducing the size of DWP’s Corporate Centre estate footprint by delivering an estates rationalisation programme that delivered significant savings and ensured it meets sustainability and climate change targets to reduce the department’s carbon footprint;

Developing and delivering strategic solutions that support the delivery of SR10 estate target (£119m), SR13 (£51m) and contractual savings £55m for 2013/14

Dr Rob Harris
Rob is a director Ramidus Consulting working with private and public sector occupiers, helping to prepare premises and workplace strategies. He has a wealth of experience – over 25 years – and he offers practical advice, based on practical experience. Specifically, Rob’s skills lie in briefing, business casing, defining needs, option appraisal and work style strategies. Rob is enormously experienced at setting up, undertaking and managing consulting projects.
He is accustomed to writing reports that must withstand public and Board-level scrutiny including Thames Valley Police, City Corporation.
